The 150th celebrations got off to a grand start last week with the very successful 150th Cricket Festival, which was attended by 21 cricketing great schools from around the country.
The Festival began with a cocktail function which was held on Tuesday 5 January. DHS Old Boy, Imraan Khan, was the guest speaker at the function, which was attended by some of the Heads of the participating schools, invited guests and members of the press.
Games were played over four days from 6 to 9 January at DHS, Kingsmead, Glenwood High, Kearsney College, Riverside, Crusaders, DHSOB, Northwood School and Westville Boys’ High.
Boys were accommodated at Blackmore House, Kearsney College and Glenwood High’s Gibson House.
Some very exciting cricket was played and enjoyed by all. We received some wonderful feedback and a number of compliments, including very positive comments about our newly renovated and upgraded boarding establishment.
