At a special assembly held this week Head Master, Mr Leon Erasmus, awarded dedicated and passionate Durban High School teacher, Mr AJ Human, a gift for his long-standing service and commitment to the School in this the year that we celebrate our 150th birthday.
Mr Erasmus handed over to Mr Human a special 150th tie as a symbol of thanks for his long standing service to Durban High School.
Tony Human has been on the staff of DHS for just over 51 years. During that time he has seen the School celebrate 100 years, 125 years and now, this year, 150 years.
Mr Human teaches Physical Science, is involved with the Rotary Exchange Programme, is the functions manager and has a science laboratory and a function room on the school premises named after him.
Mr Human is pleased to have seen so many years at the school, which he calls an extension of his family, and is delighted to be involved in the 150th celebrations.
Thank you, Mr Human, for all you have done for the Durban High School … we really do value you!
