On Tuesday, 17 January 2017, Durban High School held our annual inter-house swimming gala.
The six DHS houses – Blackmore, Campbell, Grice, Langley, Payn and Swales – competed fiercely for the top spot. All the points won at the Gala will be used towards the end of year inter-house Cockhouse Trophy, which combines all points accumulated from participation in all the Inter-House events held throughout the year.
With a close point difference between Payn and Campbell, it was the final event that determined the winner. With much team spirit, chanting and spurring team members the results were as follows:
1st – Campbell with 75 points
2nd – Payn with 68 points
3rd – Blackmore with 57 points
4th – Langley with 53 points
5th – Swales with 48 points
6th – Grice with 32 points
Well done to the staff for their support and for organising the event and the boys and swimmers who made the morning a successful and festive one.
