Latest from the Head Master’s Desk : 17 March 2017

The School held School Governing Body Parent By–Elections on Tuesday 14 March at 18h00. Mr Barrie Knox-Davies and Mrs Chandhira Maniram, both of whom have sons in Grade 8, were elected as new members of the SGB. Mrs Maniram is an educator and Mr Know-Davies has IT and Marketing experience.  We thank them for giving up personal time to serve our community and wish them well in their new positions. Thank you to the parents who attended, and the Principal of Northlands Girls’ High School, Mr A Graaf, who performed the role of Electoral Officer.
On Thursday 16 March the Performing Arts Competition took place. The show was split into two halves. The first half saw our Musicians performing in the new Chris Seabrooke Music Centre and then, after interval, the Drama and Poetry boys had their turn in the Seabrooke Theatre. Well done to Ms Rungan, Mr Sooriah and Mrs Nagiah for organising the show. Thanks to our boys for sharing their talents with us.
We host Hilton College this weekend, with the 1st XV playing at Kings Park at 17h00. It is a compulsory for our boys and we are all looking forward to the occasion. May I remind our boys, parents and supporters that they represent our School and that our behaviour should be above reproach at all times.
Enjoy the long weekend.
