Clive Barker Coaches Clinic
DHS hosted a Coaches Workshop run by former Bafana Coach, Clive Barker, with more than 50 football coaches participating.
The three-day workshop, which ran from 10 to 12 July, aimed to impart valuable tips, tricks and advice to football coaches from both Primary and High School’s alike. Each participant received an introductory football course for teacher’s manual for each coach to revise. Apart from the physical aspect of the workshop, participants were also asked to write a test on day three with reference to the manual.
When asked what his feelings were about the workshop, Clive Barker said, “I am delighted. This is the first time since hosting a workshop like this that I see such great potential in one morning session. The teachers have all showed class, respect and enthusiasm to learn and it has been a great day overall”.
