The Admin Staff of Durban High School hosted the 34th Annual KZN School Secretaries function on 16 September 2017 at the Nkulisa Conference Centre, Penzance Primary School. Approximately 250 predominantly ladies from Schools all over KZN attended the function.
The theme for the evening was Salsa Night and the ladies really got into the spirit of the theme, with lots of black and red and bright colours … they looked magnificent! As the guests arrived they were welcomed with a glass of Sangria. The Nkulisa Centre was transformed into a bright, colourful Salsa dance hall, with beautifully decorated tables, mood banners and lighting. At each place setting, were two small gifts (a cactus pot plant and a fan), a Strawberry Lips liquor in a little bottle and a stunning bag with goodies inside from various sponsors.
The MC for the evening was our songbird, Ms Natalie Rungan, the Director of Music at the Chris Seabrooke Music Centre DHS. The guests enjoyed a delicious 3-course meal, catered by Peppers & Pans and, as usual, Wayne Usher and his team did a wonderful job and the food was outstanding, totally suited to the theme. A highlight of the evening was the lucky draw, with nearly 100 prizes being won by the guests.
Entertainment was provided by the Sabrosa Salsa dancing troupe who put on a spectacular show and taught the ladies to Salsa. The evening wrapped up with the ladies practicing their new moves to tunes by DJ Theo.
It was a delightful evening, with the Admin Staff being recognised and rewarded for their contribution to our schools.
