Congratulations to the Durban High School Class of 2017!
The Class received a 99.4% pass rate, with only one failure, and an 83.22% Bachelor pass rate, which is very pleasing.
A number of boys received a “Full House” of 7 distinctions and our Dux for 2017, Muhummad Moosa is currently at a Department of Education awards ceremony at the ICC awaiting the announcement and receipt of an award. Muhummad was invited to attend the ceremony to receive an accolade for his achievements. We will release the nature of the award in due course.
The following Boys received 7 distinctions:
Muhummad Moosa (93% Average), Nischay Jairaj (91% Average), Ashvir Deeba (88%), Yusuf Moosa (88%) and Adhir Singh (86%).
Mr AD Pinheiro, Head Master of Durban High School, said “Well done to the Class of 2017 on achieving a very good set of results for the National Senior Certificate. Hard work and commitment to the task at hand has rewarded our Matriculants. Special mention must be made of our dedicated staff for pushing our boys to achieve their potentials. Our boys are now well prepared for their road ahead and we are confident they will be future leaders. We shall follow their progress with interest.”
