The new uniform and memorabilia shop, The Kit & Coffee, was recently opened at Durban High School. The launch of the new shop was eagerly anticipated as we knew that, under the direction and vision of the owner, Mrs Sandy Usher, and the Head Master, Mr A D Pinheiro, it would be spectacular. And spectacular it certainly is!
A wonderful combination of tradition, class, understated elegance, a clean and fresh look and perfect positioning, The Kit & Coffee is a welcome addition to the School. Apart from school uniform and sport kit, the shop will also supply DHS memorabilia and coffee will be served by a barista.
Mr Pinheiro welcomed all the guests and thanked Mrs Usher for the hard work involved in opening the shop. He also complimented her on the appearance of the shop, saying it was exactly what he envisaged.
The launch was attended by invited guests, members of staff, DHS Foundation Trustees and Governing Body members, all of whom were suitably impressed with the new facility.
The first customers arrived shortly after the opening and the first purchases were made by some excited Grade 8s.
We look forward to enjoying the shopping and coffee this year.
