Congratulations to our Deputy Head Prefect and 1st XV Rugby and 1st 7s Rugby team player, Celimpilo Gumede, who has been selected as a member of the SA U18 Sevens squad which will be participating in the Windhoek Internationals 7s Tournament on 9 and 10 March.
Celimpilo is the only player from KZN to be selected for the team.
Last year for 7s Rugby Celimpilo was selected for SA Schools U17 and KZN U17.
Celimpilo also excels at 15-man Rugby. He attended the SARU U16 Assessment Camp in Paarl in 2016 and last year he was selected for the SA Schools U18 Rugby Team, the SARU High Performance Camp and played for KZN Sharks at Craven Week.
Quite an impressive record for a 17 year old!
