The annual isiZulu Cultural Evening was held on Friday 17 August at Durban High School. The hosts for the evening were Mfundo Mkhize and Josh Murray, both in Grade 12. The show opened with a dedication by Taine Owen (Grade 11) and a welcome from Head Master, Mr AD Pinheiro.
Ms le Roux very bravely recited a Zulu poem and the DHS Band got things going with a bang. Ms Rungan then wowed the audience with her incredible voice.
Performances of singing, dancing, rapping, poetry and a motivational talk followed, put on by our DHS Boys, Pinetown Boys’ High, Kloof High, Hunt Road Secondary, Miss Teen SA, Northlands Girls’ High, Danville Park Girls’, culminating with special guest artist, DJ Sox.
