Eight Boys from Durban High School wrote the Cambridge IGCSE examinations in October 2018; this was our inaugural intake of learners at DHS and the therefore they are our first to write these exams.
All 8 boys passed their IGCSE examinations with varying degrees of success. Two learners obtained 7 distinctions, with some outstanding marks:
Adam Mohamed (Grade 10) – English, Afrikaans, Cambridge International Mathematics, Physics, History, Computer Science
Naseem Essa (Grade 9) – English, Afrikaans, Physics, Chemistry, Cambridge International Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science
Both candidates also were awarded the Cambridge ICE certificate with Distinction for International Education.
Other boys with distinctions were: Milind Bandulal (English) and Sharik Ramjee (Physics).
The boys all begin the AS Level of study in 2019 which is the first year of their A Levels.
DHS is very proud of the boys and their teachers who all began this new syllabus in 2018 and have been rewarded with a successful first year.
Deo Fretus!
