We welcome Mr Attila Dudas into the Life Orientation and Discipline Departments at Durban High School. He is the new Subject Head of LO and Discipline Head of Grade 8.
Mr Dudas obtained his teaching degree through UNISA, majoring in History and Geography; his minor was Criminology. He is currently studying for a BA in Psychology through UNISA.
Mr Dudas has a wide range of skills and experience. He began his working career in the CID (Criminal Investigation Department) of the South African Police Force and studied for his degree part time.
He began his teaching career at Glenwood High, where he taught Geography and History and was Head of Grade 10, Head of House and assistant superintendent of the boarding establishment. He also coached Rugby, Water Polo, Golf and Cricket.
Mr Dudas then had a short stint in Australia teaching and coaching rugby before returning to Glenwood High. This time he was Acting Deputy Headmaster for a while, Head of Discipline, Superintendent of the BE, Chairman of the Sports Disciplinary Committee and involved in the leadership development programme. He also coached Rugby, Cricket and Water Polo and taught History and Geography.
Whilst at school Mr Dudas was a Prefect, played 1st XV Rugby, 2nd XI Cricket and represented KZN in Athletics.
Mr Dudas is married and lives in Glenwood.
