The school’s annual Fashion Show was held on Friday 8 March 2019 in the school Hall.
The aspiring Matric models were subjected to a nerve racking audition before Shaun Stander, owner of Mobile Model Management and who, incidentally, is the top contender for the Mr South Africa title. It was great fun watching our boys emulate the so called ramp walk!
Most, if not all, our boys were taken out of their comfort zones and took to the spotlight of a different kind. This is an excellent and fun way of raising much needed funds for the Matric Dance which is to be held on 6 April at the ICC.
28 DHS boys and 29 girls (all the girls were from Mobile Model Management) embraced the theme HEAT CITY NIGHT and strutted their stuff on the ramp.
The event opened with our in house band, Attitude, and they really got the toes tapping and fingers clicking with their upbeat rhythm.
Our boys certainly looked like professional supermodels as they took to the ramp in the various garments. Rajah Harris most definitely stole the show with his unique style. The fantastic display of chic, elegant, casual, beach wear, bikinis and formal attire was certainly not to be missed.
The showstopper had to be once again, the DHS staff modelling segment. It is always good to see our staff embrace their fun, carefree side and dress up just to raise funds for our boys. The crowd was really delighted at the performances of all staff; who took to the ramp like professionals!
