Swimming Team at the Westville Gala
Swimming Team at the Westville Gala

The DHS Swimming Team took part in the KZN Top Schools Gala held at Clifton in rainy conditions on 18 February.
This is a prestigious event and is the only gala where all the KZN Schools compete solely against each other. The boys were adamant not to finish in last place, where they ended in 2019.
They performed brilliantly. From the first event, it was evident that they were focused and determined to do well. In the end they secured two first placings; nine second placings and four fourth placings.

The DHS 1st Water Polo team had a tough match against a very strong Hilton College team, going down 11-14. It was only in the 4th quarter that Hilton were able to pull away and hold onto their 3 goal lead. For DHS, M Makhanya had an outstanding match scoring 4 goals.
