Ms Joshua and boys of DHS have continued to contribute to society by delivering hampers and essential foods to two incredible organisations – The Durban Child & Youth Centre and St Martin’s Diocesan Home for Children were both incredibly grateful for the selfless act of our boys.
We would like to make special mention of The Domino Foundation who match DHS with the same number of hampers and essential foods every time that we at School donate to the less fortunate.
10 DHS boys and two staff members also participated in helping “Rise Against Hunger Africa” by packing 155 000 meals for the needy. Our boys worked tirelessly and with enthusiasm to undertake this enormous task. Opting to stay longer than most, they helped in two sessions from 9am-12pm. We hope in the future to host this event and spread the love and support of this worthy cause. A very big thank you to all involved for coming out despite the rainy weather and giving up their time & energy. The deadline of 155 000 meals in record time.
We are extremely proud of all our boys and the enthusiasm with which they undertake community service and the drive they have to serve as they continue to put the needs of the community ahead of your own.
