SA Golf
The DHS Family would like to congratulate Daniel Bennett on been selected for SA Schools!
In addition, Daniel has been named as the Captain for the KZN U19 Inter-Provincial Golf team.
Daniel has been a sensation in the sport and we are so incredibly proud of this his much-deserved selection. Well done, Daniel!
SA Swimming
Another DHS Swimmers, Matthew Hunt, has been selected to represent SA, and we would like to congratulate Matthew on this outstanding achievement. We are truly proud to have seen a number of our Swimmers this year represent our country.
Matthew left for Europe on 16 November to represent our country. We have no doubt Matthew will continue to do not only School proud, but SA as well!
SA Hockey & Indoor Hockey
DHS are delighted to announce that our Director of Hockey, Mr Michael Baker, has been selected as the trainer for the SASHOC (SA Schools Hockey Association) U17 team. School would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mr Baker on yet another phenomenal milestone in his Hockey coaching career. We truly are blessed to have him at the helm of DHS Hockey.
Congratulations to Mr Cameron Goodwin who has been selected for the SA Men’s Indoor Hockey Team! The team will be taking part in the Namibia Indoor Series. We are incredibly proud of you Mr Goodwin and are extremely blessed to have you as one of our Hockey coaches. Good luck for the series!
Congratulations to Mr T Kelly-Stack who has been selected as part of the first ever SA Men’s Hockey 5’s team who travelled to Egypt from 8-16 December. The team competed in the Hockey 5’s African Qualifiers for a place in the 2024 Hockey 5’s World Cup taking place in Oman. What an achievement Mr Kelly-Stack!
SA Cricket
School would like to congratulate our 1st XI Cricket Captain for 2022, Bonga Shezi on being selected for the SA Colts Team!
Well done on this fantastic achievement which truly highlights the phenomenal year that you have experienced, Bonga.
KZN Cricket
We are extremely proud to announce the KZN Cricket selections, which includes a Captain and no less than 11 representatives.
U19
We are immensely proud to announce that four DHS boys were selected for the KwaZulu-Natal U19 Cricket Team.
Bonga Shezi, Nkululeko Masondo, Lutendo Tsanwani and Kamran Naraidu who were all selected for KZN and will be participating in the CSA Khaya Majola Week.
U17
Khulekani Mseleku was selected for the KZN U17 team, and made Captain! What an achievement Khulekani, we are so proud of you!
The KZN U17 Team won their regional Cricket week under his guidance. Well done on this fine achievement young man!

U15
Our U15A Team has had a sensational year and have most deservedly been rewarded with five KZN selections. The selections are as follows:
Krian Jugoo, Bayanda Majola, Ismaeel Omar, Semal Pillay, Joshua van Biljon.
We would like to also congratulate Mr M Shezi who announced as the KZN U15 Coach.
The KZN U15 team also went on to win the Regional Cricket week, and a special mention must be made of both Semal and Bayanda – Semal was the leading run scorer in the team and Bayanda was the leading wicket taker!
U16
Congratulations to Sfundo Mthembu and Josh Botha who were both selected for the KwaZulu-Natal U16 Cricket Team!
KZN Badminton
Congratulations to Lincoln Wilson who has been selected for the KZN U17 Badminton Team.
Lincoln is truly a rare talent in the sport as he first represented KZN U13 as an 8-year-old! With his latest selection for the KZN U17 Badminton Team, he has achieved this at the young age of only 15. His past achievements are as follows:
2016 – KZN U13B (as an 8-year-old!)
2019 – KZN U13A Captain (as a 12-year-old!)
2019 – Awarded both Top Player and Top Achiever for the KZN U13 Age Group
2022 – KZN U15A Captain
2022 – KZN U17A

KZN Surfing
Congratulations to Ntokozo Maphumulo on being selected for the KZN U16 Surfing Team, his latest brilliant accolade in the sport.
Ntokozo travelled to Jeffrey’s Bay to participate in the Junior SA Champs.
In addition, at the recent eThekwini Surfriders Association Awards evening Ntokozo was awarded a trophy for the Surfer who has the Most Spunk, meaning the surfer who always makes friends in the water, is always the happiest surfer and who is always the most respectful surfer to everyone in the water.
Ntokozo, we are so proud of not only your achievements in the sport of Surfing but prouder of the fantastic human being that you are.
KZN Waterpolo
A massive congratulations to Ruan Basson, Kirk Wilson and Adrian Truter who were all selected for the KwaZulu-Natal U15 Water Polo Team and won Bronze medals at the SA Schools Tournament held in Durban.
The DHS U15A Water Polo Team has enjoyed a most successful year and we as a school are delighted with these selections. Well done to all three boys, we are immensely proud of their achievements.
